Geometry setup

I'm thinking of getting some Gaz shocks and also getting the geometry setup correctly, anyone recommend a good place and did it make a great difference?

Can you tell me how bad the driving experince of your car was before and how much did it improve after the setup was done ? Also what sort of money are you talking for the setup ?

I want to find somebody decent to setup my car, i have had the GAZ golds fitted and if drives rubbish after 90 mph. In fact at that speed it becomes dangerous. Wandering all over the show. I think it sits too high as well.

Of course these things are difficult to accurately quantify but I would say that the handling significantly improved. More specifically I found the front of the car much less edgy. Initially I asked for a track/road compromise. I still had problems at motorway speeds so on the 1000 mile checkup I had them softened slightly for road use. I can always get around the wheel to adjust up for track days. This improved the handling again.

Its called 'tramlining' and its a common fault with Tuscans. I certainly had it on mine, leading to several trouser changing momments.
I had Nitrons fitted (by topcats) and they did a full geometry set up, including corner weighting.
It transformed the handling. Without question the best £1200 i have spent on the car.

You'll find that a GEO will definately transform your car. I had mine done at TopGear Automotive, Wolverhampton in the West Mids www.topgearautomotive.co.uk, think they charge about £80

How long ago did you have this done? I had golds put on early last year and they were crap and quite dangerous. Thanks to the garage that fitted them who chased up the supplier (who didn't answer any of my calls) it turned out that there had been a known tooling problem at the factory resulting in a valving problem. Eventually the fronts were changed, but still not 100% happy. That being said they are considerably better than the originals and certainly not as edgy/dangerous.

I had them fitted about 500 miles ago, which i my case was last october.

I might try and contact top gear autos. Does anybody else have any recomendations around south Cheshire/north staffs area for TVR Geo checks/setup. Other than Dereck at Middlewich.
