Discussion
Hey guys
just wondering if anyone out there has any fond memories or experience of every owning a 250 race replica 250, or even the 400s that were also introduced.
namely
hondas.. nsr 250 or vfr or cbr 400
yamaha. tzr, or yzf 400
suzuki. rgv, or gsx r400
kawasaki kr1 or zxr and zzr 400

Me I had the nsr 250 smart card edition, wow what a bike, dry clutch, special card to start the bike. I remember on a few occasions going over a a mountain pass on a bike run only to run away from the big 1000cc bikes around the corners and to have big glares at me as they passed me down the straights.
its okay because anyone can ride a bike fast in a straight line but cornering is a different matter.
well thats my experience and to be honest I would love to relive those times again, id like to hear from you out there who own big 600cc or 1000 bikes now but were fortunate to have owned one of the true race replica 250
cheers

Still have a RGV250M and i love it.
Its my pride and joy and only comes out on dry summer days.
But as already said it always surprises me how light it is,how quick it turns and just how much of a big smile i get riding it.
Just need to find a mint KR1 for my little collection,then a RG125 Gamma(1st "quick/proper" bike).

Had a zxr400 as my first bike, straight from direct access, kept it three years as my main form of transport. Always wanted one, I really loved it. I got the rear suspension reworked by Maxton, and it transformed the bike. A healthy 62 rwhp made it quick enough to not feel slow, ever.
Best memories:
Being asked by a ducati 748 rider what i had done to my zxr750 to make it so fast.
Going over the mountain at the TT and touching down the pegs (the road was uneven) at about 115mph.

I liked that one, I had the red and blue special edition one with the smart card, that one is also the smart card edition if im not mistaken
are there still 2stroke dealers out there these days where you can pick up smart condition 2stroke replicas. I know they are a bit fragile but I just love them
thanks for all the pics guys
