Can anyone advise on what oil i should use to run in a fresh built busa as my bike shop only has semi synthetic oil and tells me that no one makes a mineral oil any more in the past i have always used mineral.

Cheers Guys

Cheap semi will be fine imho, just don't let it get to hot. On the same subject I am going to try Motul 300V this season instead of Sikolene Pro4.

P.S. your bike dealer is talking out his arse by the way biggrin

Rob, why are you changing? I thought SP4 was THE oil?

Had some good reports about Motul in general. Also I've heard that it maintains better oil pressure at the hot end of the scale.....we shall see smile

Hi Rob, surely its the Second SAE number that defines the hot oil pressure as there is a direct corrolation between viscosity and pressure?

I am assuming the SAE on the Motul is more stable at hotter temps than the Silkolene. I am no expert on this stuff but its been recommended to me so I though I'd give it a go. On paper its a better oil than the Silkolene but weather that translates into real life or not? I guess I'll find out this season smile
