I think the dash will look great.
Not so sure about the wood effect footwell or the panelled door effect though.

Spent the best part of this week getting it made. Lots of work getting the upholstery off and modifying the original dash so that it is more "carbon fibre friendly" including a built in lower radio panel. The mould was intended to be good enough to get a single unit out of but has withstood well and is reusable. Regarding takers and making further units, this is no simple project! let me try to explain..

Stage 1:
Make carbon fibre unit with glass strand and woven mat strengthening.
Trim, polish, and cut out holes for stereo, switches and vents.

Stage 2:
Remove old lower dash

Stage 3:
Cut off instrument/loom retaining fibre glass moulding from old dash.
Bond instrument/loom retaining panel onto new carbon dash

Stage 4: (optional)
Cutout new instrument panel from carbon fibre (core mat backed) sheet
Install instruments into new instrument panel

Stage 5:
Install back into car.

Not a 5 min job!!

Should have the car back on the road for the next Herts and Beds meet if anyone interested in seeing the car in the flesh.. Will post pictures as i progress.

I'm sure this is a bit of a Marmite thing. Cant wait to get it finished!!

Without the lower panel, how will you be able to get access to the wiring of the switches and stereo?

No probs i hope. Stereo draws out using release tool. Extra holes in the top moulding (under top removable panel) will allow access to the wiring.

Can do, but this is really easy to make yourself! Just need to remove the carpet and glue carbon sheet in its place. Think you can get enough sheet (1sqm) for around 100quid? I couldn't match that money to be honest. The sheet can be cut with a sharp stanley knife.

This does compliment the carbon roof panel really well. Cant believe it wasn't done by the factory! Carpet on a door? I ask you.

Oggs, did you simply glue the carbon sheet over the existing item, and add it back on?

Cheers

Stripped the veneer off then cut and glue the carbon to the frame, and matches the underside of the targa roof cool

I used www.stewartsf1.com when I needed some. Lots of different weaves & colours to choose & he was happy to post samples. I ended up using the silver weave on the dash as the dark gray/black didn't work with the interior of mine.
