A good one £35000 plus
Don´t be daft Justin
I sold my A1 condition RHD one for 29,999 two years ago, and allowing for the fact that it was cheap at the time, prices still haven´t gone anywhere but down.
Sensible price for one in excellent condition with reasonable miles on (25-35k miles say) would be 28-30k in my reasonably experienced opinion

Sunil´s would be a good buy if you can do a deal on the service that is due and a couple of minor jobs, though I haven´t seen the car myself.

I think 348 owners are the wrong people to ask , they have a vested interest in keeping the prices high
Listen to the advice about viewing as many cars as you can though , ive been looking the last couple of weeks and been very dissapointed with general condition of so called beautiful condition cars especially after the distance you have to travel .

I was going to go but negotiations came to a stop when i upset him by trying to haggle with the price . I've since come to the conclusion that any Ferrari thats not in resale red would be financial hell as they seem to be a nightmare to sell on no matter how good they look . My last car was red so i was after a differant colour for a change but i think it will have to be red again.Good luck.
Be offered a few times £35,000 + in Europe. Looking in the wrong place to sell in the UK; better off outside the UK when selling.
Sorry mate, but mine being LHD for me the resell area is in mainland europe
Lived there many years and know some right people in Austria, Germany and Italy having family there too.
Very hard to find a execllent 348 spider on the market with no work needing to be done on it etc. Mine a liitle special with the work I have done to it and what the original owner did to it with documented proof.
Also, not many 348 spider for sell compared to the 355 !! The car was never mass produced like the 355 spider. The right person will pay if he whats the car and its is the right condition with all the documenetd proof to go with it.
348's will go up again in the price like the 328's etc.

Is that why I just gave an objective and resoned answer which brought Justin's estimate down to reality levels?
The one in the Midlands, if it's Sunil's sounds a very fair price, £28k with the belts done, or price discounted to cover the cost of servicing. Like I said though, I'm assuming the car is nice condition. I don't know it personally.
The rough rule of thumb 3-4 years ago used to be Spiders worth about £5k more than the Berlinettas and Targas, and LHD about £5k less again.
Obviously that gap has closed somewhat now with the 355s and 360s pushing the price down from the top, however, a Spider should always be worth at least 2 or 3 grand more than the tin top all other things being equal. So, look at the price of GTBs and GTSs and then add a couple of grand on, that will give you a ball park, and it won't be £26k.

I am really interested in the one in the midlands, the owner is superb, been great from day one.
Difficulty is I just think it's a buyers market right now and the cars being advertised are top heavy price wise. I have been looking for ages and the cars just don't seem to be selling.
I am very surprised if the yellow one is so good why it hasn't sold. I am certain that's not a reflection of the car just the market.
I think tricky mentioned that yellow is a difficult resale colour.
So to sum up what is the one in the midlands worth if it's all I think it will be if I took it with the belts and service not done?
Any opinions?
P.S. Trying to drive the price of the insurance down as I want to buy the RIGHT one ASAP before prices do increase in a few months. Does anyone know of any good insurers that might look at it on classic.

I believe from another thread that Sunil was prepared to negotiate around the £26,500 mark without the service which, if the rest of the car is sound is a very, very good price. So to sum up what is the one in the midlands worth if it's all I think it will be if I took it with the belts and service not done?

Yellow? I loved mine and a lot of people prefer not to have the obvious red. It is all purely subjective. Me? I'd have a white Testarossa

Try A-Plan which feature at the top of these various forums. They have been superb with my 911, TVR, this current Ferrari and the soon arriving somewhat tweaked 850.
Good luck, but don't just worry about the servicing, get someone who knows what they are looking at check the car thoroughly. From what I have read though Sunil seems a decent guy so fingers crossed

White Testarossa would be fantastic ! But would you dare actually buying one knowing how hard it would be to resell or how much you'd get turned over by the dealers trading it .Maybe im looking at it wrong ,i just think being able to sell quickly if you need the money is important ,but then its hard selling any car these days .

Of course I would! I buy the cars that I want to see parked in my garage and that will give ME pleasure, not what someone some years down the line might like or dislike. tricky 100 said:

You may well be
Bruce get the spider, you will love it to bits and have no regrets. Ever person on this earth should own a ferrari one time in their lifes. Its great to own one and even better to drive it. I must say going out and searching for the right ferrari is great fun too, knowing that you are so close to full filling a dream.
the yellow 348 spider is great in yellow and a good price!!. Yes us 348 owners will always be a little bias
