What are the rules on wings? Particularly that high.
Depends on the class in which it's running, but I think it would be prohibited in most sportsman classes. Non-standard wings are only allowed in open bodied cars, unless there's a specific exception for the class. AFAIK, there is no such exception for either the Super classes or the ET classes.Well!! We're advised that its all fine and its there for a reason (not to pretend to be a Top Fueller!!!!) We hope to be racing this year in Super Gas but a long way to go yet and we are out-and-out rookies! I'll get some pics up of the Paintwork that Paul did on it, but thanks for the ones on here guys, I am trying to build up a bit of history on it

What are the rules on wings? Particularly that high. I'm just curious as i am sure someone said it was not legal..but that was some years ago and my memory serves no purpose past the year 2000.

I imagine the rules on wings will be thoroughly tested the moment that the car begins to win races, as rattles tend to fly outwardsWhat are the rules on wings? Particularly that high. Long Marston, July 1993
I remember seeing the new car in Geoff Owens workshop next to the damaged one. I thought the black one went abroad?
When Kevin bought out the new car it was sporting a blower aswell as the twin carbs but then reverted to a single on Methanol.

nope, i preferit with the newer paint job and the wing. yeh sure looks like its had a crash, however as long as the car is ok now then there wont be any problem, christ rolling a car is quite common in circuit racing, the cars are put back together again and race again.
Thats the first car that rolled. The car Donna now owns was built from scratch by Geoff Owen.Flying Toilet said:

The Super Gas rules say that Non OEM wings, other than MSA approved are prohibited.
So, I think you need to talk to the MSA on this, as to be honest I am not sure on how to tell if its MSA approved.
I'll Email Glen Stockton, see what he says if you want
