It is so good to see live racing after a long break - I was struggling with withdrawal symptoms smile

Rolex 24, as Piglet said, is on Eurosport 2 and anyone that complains about ITV's coverage of F1 should be thankful they don't live in the States !

I'm in withdrawal so anything is good. but God the Eurosport coverage was dreadful frown Started late, finished early and Carlton Kirby spouted crud in between.

GP2 this morning had Martin Haven and was much better.

Bring back Hindhaugh biggrin

Racing those ugly toy sportscars, a few Porsches 997s and Mazda RX8's. I've had no interest in that race ever since those horrid little Pontiac and Lexus things were introduced.

Proper racing doesn't start till Sebring or the Daytona 500 in 2 weeks time (if you live with your sister wink) closely followed by the Australian GP.

It's the car noise that does it for me biggrin but yes, usually Sebring is the start - Le Mans T-shirts on, steak on the BBQ, beer in hand and Sebring beads to the ready laugh

I went to sebring in 98 I think, It was a laugh, very different from Le mans, and very different again from Nring.

That was before the daytona protos which are just ugly, but they run proper GT cars as well.

when I went there were 333sp ferrari's etc in the protos and the original panoz bat car, Lister etc with the 911's and stuff.

It was wierd being able to watch the entire circuit, and I found the quite hard to start with..

worth a trip if you can get out there, cheap motels a little further up the strip in ormond beach that back straight onto the beach..

G

Edited to say dumb ass I was talking about daytona in 98... I have been to sebring 04 I think... Different again.. the camsites are a bit wild, they drive round all night and shoot into the air !!!

We hoped to do Sebring last year but ran out of the folding stuff to make it possible. OH went in 2005 or 6 (memory is going confused).

We won't make it next year but will try to plan for 2010
