My radar detector picked up Laser from a forward facing device on a gantry along the M27 near Fareham.
Anyone know what these devices are?
Thanks for the tip, I travel that section every day, cannot confirm it, but there have been roadworks along the side of the road for the last 3 months, so very possible.
They look like a normal CCTV camera with a single laser detector. I guess it maybe one of the Tax disc checking systems.
Hope so, I was using my Chim at the time, know what I mean.
Thanks for that Mungo, my tax disc is valid.
Glad to hear they are doing such checks. Most drivers that don't have tax will not have insurance. Get the b**tards. We all pay for claims from un-insured drivers.
I think they're the speed/traffic count sensors that are used to control the traffic lamps on the slip roads... quite harmless but sure get laser detectors excited, as do some of the trafficmaster sensors.
