So the new system has been on for about 1000 miles now. Love it, it soudns awesome especially sans roof.

Anyways - S2000s generally do suffer from a bit of heat soak which can make them a bit jumpy in traffic. I was out this morning giving it a fair bit of the johnny large potatoes, and noticed it seemed a little jumpier than normal.

The only mod has been the cat back zorst - have I accidentally put some karagoo juice in instead of super unleaded?

For the record, also serviced 1000 miles ago.

Any ideas?

Please dont move this to the Honda section, they poke me with sticks in there

did it have an ECU reset when done?
lack of backpressure?
did the lambda sensor have to be moved?

pulling at straws really confused

did it have an ECU reset when done? No - not sure how to reset it or even if you can.

lack of backpressure? maybe but it cant be that much freer flowing, still has the orginal cat in place.

did the lambda sensor have to be moved? Nope.

Why not have the exhaust and headers wrapped, that would cut down a fair bit of the under bonnet temps, and stick some octane booster in if you put 59RON in till you empty the tank, then re-fill with 99RON but get the ECU reset after you've filled with 99RON and you should be back on track.

exhaust wrapping is now frowned upon appearently.

it makes the headers rust/crack/breakup about 10 times as quickly 'apparently'.

aftermarket headshield?

There wouldn't be any point in wrapping anything if it wasn't stainless steel. Unless you have SS headers and exhaust don't do it. SS steel exhaust not only handles incredible amounts of heat but don't rust either hence why you generally have a lifetime guarantee on SS exhaust systems. I would see no point in wrapping standard steel as it probably will go rusty (as they do) and die!!

I assume Flibbles has SS exhaust and headers. If not....DON'T DO IT!! hehe
