What's the ultimat good looking rufty tuffty watch

I'm looking for a watch that I can bang about, wear at the beach etc... that has a touch of style.

I quite like the Seiko divers watches and some of the Taser range.

what's your budget?

No specific budget but wouldn't want to spend much more than GBP 1,500.00

Traser do some fantastic watches, there is a new seiko automatic divers around the ebay and online shops at the moment that is good.

but that sinn looks stunning, i am going to look at the spec and price of that now, that is so cool.

I have the "non-black" tegimented steel version of this watch on a strap:




It can hardly be said to have a hard life with me, but its certainly very tough, the case seems extremely scratch resistant, its water-resistant to 200m - its my choice whenever I'm doing anything active, I'd definitely recommend it. The only thing that is not quite a point is the deployment buckle, which is very angular and not tegimented, so it does scratch, and actually it doesn't work that well, however, however, the regular buckle is fine. I also find the second time zone a useful feature.

good point,

i wear a G shock 90% of the time (a waveceptor/Toughsolar) because i need a tough and realible watch, it is virtually indestructable and cool,

totally recommend one for a cheap (relativly) watch and you can still budget for something else.

A G-Shock doesn't really meet the "good looking" part of the spec though does it ...

If you like the sinn watches have a flick through chronomaster for the full range.

If you want a new watch I think he is the only U.K. dealer.

Nah, I'm just taking the mickey. The sub is a classic iconic watch. I hope the don't get the GMTII treatment this year.
