It's back in the garage now, silent apart from that strange ticking noise that most proper cars make when they cool down. Then there's the smell, hot plastic/glue/leather and just a suggestion of warm Millers Oil (so perhaps there could be a small oil leak somewhere - well this is TVR ownership).

After 2 months of ice, rain, Christmas and overwork a window in the January weather and a blast along the M20, A20 and the Kentish lanes - now I realise why I bought this car in the first place...

Just took my lad out into Cardiff tunnels, roads are dry and the traffic was light, it`s always a buzz driving an S.

Agree with both of the above - I haven't been able to use the car much recently, partly because I had it in bits for a while, partly because I've been busy since the new year at work and partly because my old ma's in hospital so visiting is taking up what spare time I have at the moment.

But last weekend I took the S out for 40 miles or so and it fair blows those cobwebs away! I've had mine 5 years, I've done 18,000 miles and still, every time I hear it start up, I get that feeling that "this is going to be good..."
