VXR8 Satnav discs now available
Discussion
After a near six months wait disc finally turned up at dealers a week or so ago. Having given the mighty tome on how to work it a cursery perusal, (no Im not a lawyer) not overly impressed with the performance. It appears to be about 100yds behind the actual position of the car, there is however some reference to calibration in the manual. So far no 3D graphics and no road speed indicator showing. Perhaps when I have digested the contents of the blasted thing (manual) and understood it, probably circa 2009 things may improve. May be wrong but a suspicion is slowly forming that Tom Toms etc may be slightly better value, due to this set up costing me 1500 quid in JULY.

sounds like its not up to the same level as a top spec tomtom!. At 1500 quid its daylight robbery. No chance.
Any other after market options to make use of sat nav?.
The Walkinshaw DVD TV system looks good. When the car has stopped the TV will come on at the front centre console LCD screen. Thats same money as the sat nav. Would prefer to spend on that!!!

wonder what controls the centre console aux video supply.. I mean if it's built into the console that it should not display when the car is moving or if it is controlled by the DVD system.
It's probably a standard video signal so for 1500 quid you could install a very nice car-puter setup
