Help - Battery flat and can't get in!
Discussion
The inevitable has happened! While the car was connected to the Optimate, someone else decided that they needed to use the socket in the garage, unplugged the Optimate and didn’t plug it back in again! I now have a car with no life in the battery but locked doors. I know there is a bit of ‘jiggery pockery’ that can be done to get into a car in that state. Is there anyone who could let me have the exact sequence of things that I need to undertake? Please feel free to e-mail me via my profile as I fully understand that this is not the sort of information that ought to be on a public forum.
Many thanks in advance.

As far as I can see, you have three options:
(Yes it really is blindingly obvious.)
- Plug the optimate back in and wait about a month for it to recharge the battery.
- Wait form somebody who knows and trusts you to tell you how to get in.
- Step back, look at the problem and smack yourself on the forehead as the blindingly obvious way in occurs to you.

Tried plugging the Optimate in but it doesn't seem to give enough oomph to allow the locks to work. (May well do after a few hours).- Plug the optimate back in and wait about a month for it to recharge the battery.

Sorry, I'm still failing to see the blindingly obvious.
