Accumate charging point?

Unfortunately due to chronic under-use my T350's battery is dead
I'm planning on purchasing an Accumate to remedy the situation and hopefully prevent it in future and I understand from the previous owner that the car is hard-wired for a charger .... just got a few questions before I do anything!! ...

Is this the charging 'plug' ... and if so will I need any extra adapters when I order the accumate to charge using this connection??



Also, will the accumate charge the battery from dead(ish) ... the doors still open and indicators flash etc. but i'm not sure for how much longer!!

Don't think thats the charging plug, if you buy an accumate, go for the ciggy lighter connector aswell and you can just plug it into the lighter socket then. I believe an accumate will restore a dead battery. I bought mine from a gardening website, thegreenreaper.co.uk cheapest I could find, £46 inc, ciggy lead and delivery.

Go through the cigarette socket - its much easier and you will use it more of the time instead of scrabbling under the car. I used an Optimate (model II I think) on my Chim (5.5 yrs) and the Sag and never had any battery problems. I'm not sure it will resuscitate a dead battery - you may have to invest in a new battery.

Go for the cigarette lighter adapter, you may also need the extension lead if you buy the accumate. The accumate works great for me!

I've ordered myself a CTEK charger / conditioner - with cigarette lighter adapter - as whilst the accumate seems to be most widely used it seems the CTEK has the latest technology (and has won a numbe rof awards) etc. so should fit the bill.
