Hi,

I did my bike theory test with my car test first time through (1996ish). I didn't follow up the bikes, just stuck with cars. If I do my CBT now do I need to resit the theory? I only ask as the bike symbol is still on my license.

Cheers

Alan

pretty sure you would have to, theory tests only normally last 3 years iirc.

I think it is only two.

Regardless of which it is a different theory test for bikes and cars anyway. Even if you had a car licence from before all the CBT/Theory test mallarky, you would still have to do a bike theory test before the bike practical test.

I think the symbol on your license is your provisional entitlement to ride a bike, you still need the do CBT and theory to get to the big test.

The theory for bikes differs from cars anyway, as does hazard perception so I can't see one counting against the other.

You have provisional entitlement on driving licence for bikes - so you can do bike training and you will have to sit your theory, which dunno if you know will contain a hazard perception part.
All the best - it's a peice of pee pee

Good luck

Barry.
