Hello all,

I had the misfortune to be in Devon 2 weeks back and found myself having to turn my A4 2.5TDi into a barge to get through some of the floods. The car has done 130,000 miles now and it feels like it will be good for 250,000. However, I think the water has done for the starter motor as it just clicks with all the check lights indicating OK.

Can any of you kind chaps advise roughly how much you think this job will be and where I should get it done in Northants?

Thanks in advance

If my engine was full of water, would I have got back from Devon and then spent 6 and a half hours fighting my way to and from Heathrow a few days afterwards?
