Trumpet length

Ive done a search and cant find the answer, If you shorten the original trumpets whats the amount to take off. Anyone got any advice please????

I dont think you will get a definative answer. The theory is shorter trumpets move the power band up the rpm range, but its a hard one to quantify. The top of the trumpets are also supposedly close enough to restrict air flow at full power, and somewhere between 15mm and 25mm seems to be the going measurement.
