The use of ethanol

Have you used ethanol in your car? Is it ok to blend half petrol and half ethanol? Will it damage the engine itself eventually?

Upto 5 maybe 10% will be okay but any more and you will cause problems. Ethanol will damage soft metals such as aluminium, brass, bronze and copper as well as some rubbers.

Bio-fuel cars require major changes to all the fuel system components as well as some of the engine parts.
