So, MR2 experts...

How does that spec list match up with the power claim of 270 rwhp @ 11psi boost, with potential for 500+ bhp on the build/turbo?

Seems decent buying at NZ$13k (~5k GBP), a tidy standard MR2T will usually go for $5-10k.

I assume the photos of the cars taken before they put the engine back in..., some questionable suspension otherwise.

Regards the power, if its put together correctly and well mapped then yes. My friend mapped one with a similar / slightly better spec to 522bhp, see the phoenix power example :- http://www.2bartuning.com/

The turbo is certainly a 500bhp turbo.
