Chemical analysis
Discussion
This reminds me of a very informative TVR Tuscan thread where there was a definative list of when you found a liquid deposit under your car, through the taste of it you could ascertain what the liquid was!
Please note, I am not recommending you taste it! Do you think it is chemical or biological? I know a while back I moved into an old farmhouse and a guy came out to see if some of the fungus growing on the windows on the inside was toxic or not.
Where is the black stuff found?

Anywhere water has settled or dribbled. For example, shower heads, toilet bowls, taps etc. It's a black crusty substance that builds up quite quickly after being cleaned off. Definately not ordinary mould.I'm wondering if they're Manganese deposits.
