Can anyone offer me some help/advice on fixing my heated rear screen. It appears that one of the solder connections has gone dry, as when I started poking around to see what was up, it just fell off at the slightest touch.
In the olden days, you used to be able to buy little bottles of electrically conductive paint, but apparently not any more, so I bought what appeared to be the same stuff in a pen-type dispenser from Maplins. Unfortuately, no amount of messing around with that, superglue and sticky-backed tin-foil have managed to solve the problem.
Has anyone sucessfully solved this problem before?

I repaired mine with a small bottle of 'heated rear window repair kit' from Halfords. Now i cant remember whether its was a glue, or whether its just a conductive silver based paint as you said. If this was the case, I had to stick it with something else and paint over it with the silver paint. Sorry I cant help any further. This was 3 to 4 years ago.

Had exactly the same problem, picked up a bottle of liquid metal type stuff from Maplins, did the trick!

Cheers guys. Have ordered a bottle of the liquid metal stuff from Maplins to have one more go. If not, then the chaps in Glassman's link are in Manchester and I'm down there in a few weeks anyway.

I used superglue on mine around the top of the connector every few months - never was a permanent fix though. Will get you out of trouble
