Was stopped for speeding on the M8 last July, and only received a Complaint Form from the police two weeks ago. My case came to court on the 18th of this month, I pleaded guilty by post with a brief explanation. This morning my licence was returned recorded delivery with no endorsments and no explanation, just a compliments slip from the Procuater Fiscals Office! If anyone is up on Scottish Law does that mean I will be hearing further or have I been lucky.

Not all that up on Scots law but it does sound like you got away with it! Where abouts on the M8 did you get stopped?

Cheers

On looking at the map, seems I was on the M80. I had turned off the M8 at jun 13 and was approaching the roundabout at the end of the M80 by Stepps. I was stopped by an unmarked police car (Peugeot 406 I think). I was keeping with the flow of traffic not realizing the car behind was a police car. I needed the left lane for the roundabout so I put my foot down to get past a slow car and just touched 75mph. For those who are not familiar with the M80 the limit is 50mph. Some sections of the M8 are also 50.
