Considering the currency rates nowadays importing an Elise from the US to Norway are beginning to look like a quite a good idea. It will probably be around 20-25% cheaper than a similar 111R at about the same condition, mileage and age from i.e. Germany.

I am currently driving a 2001 S2 Race Tech which I love but am considering trading it in for something a bit more practical and useful for everyday driving. As previously mentioned I have considered cars like S2000, MX-5 and Boxster but none of them quite excites me like the Elise. A newer Elise with a better engine, a bit more "luxury" and a bit more practicality would by far be the most desirable option... smile

Bottom line; the big question is; what is the differences between the "Federal" Elise and a 111R ? Pros and cons ?

Any help appreciated...

Gunnar at the dealership in Bergen looks very promising. He emailed me back immediately and will contact me again tomorrow once he has checked a few things out. I will visit the dealership when i am there to say hello regardless if he can help me anyway. Thanks for your help.

Don't forget the comedy lever in the boot that allows you to open it if you're trapped inside.

So if you're a paedophile or specialise in kidnapping midgets don't buy one

The man is deadly serious - all US cars need to have this anti-mafia kidnapping level in the boot.
