Hi, I saw these light pods on a website and wondered if anyone makes light pods like these for the Chimaera?
I notice the original large circular headlights on the chim are attached to a mount, which could be removed and replaced with a Cerbera style light pod.
Am I making sense? biggrin

I don't think so, the Cerb pods are far bigger than the Chim ones, even the Griff pods are large enough for a twin conversion.

Seems a pity, it would be nice to have easily extractable pods to change bulbs / wiring / carbon can... from a design maintenance perspective?

This is something that has crossed my mind a few times. There must be an easy way of using the existing aperture with the trim removed. I have often pondered when looking at mini or porsche lights... I may have a look at what would be involved in making a moulding to replace the trim but incorporate small modern lights. Got my hands full at moment with carpeting, carbon dash and pod and centre console and door panels and seat and.......

Any thoughts?

I was think exactly the same thing the other day! If you have a look on bluethunders profile on his old Chimaera, he has some nice light pods. When I find out where they are from, I will let you know.

Julian at Fibreon seems to make most of the pods/repair panels. You could always ask him to look at alternate possibilities.

Just a thought, Ive seen (and I have an image somewhere) a dutch chimaera with polo head light, look almost original but obviously HID is an option
