Just developed a leak on somewhere in the induction line.

It’s a very noticeable whistle started just at low rpm but has now developed accross the range.

With the engine on tick over you can 'seal' the leak by a slight pressure on the throttle body but as yet have not been able to locate the exact point.

Obvious would be the body itself but guess it could be the plenum

Has any one had similar problems to help me speed up diagnostic?

Cheers

I changed my engine a bit back and did not tighten up the inlet manifold buts tight enough. This caused that type of sound, so worth getting a spanner out and tightening the heads a little. Took me ages to find out what was wrong !!!!!

Good luck.

Shame I was considering needing a whole load of new bits - much more excitng than 5min with a spanner!

Yes the plenum was a suspect I was thinking that or the valve housing (still a plastic one).

However the lack of replies means that it does not sound like there is a common fault on the inlet side.
