Came off again...
Discussion
the first being almost a year ago to the day! This time I was about to join the A3 just south of Guildford after leaving Haselmere in the early hours, going round the roundabout about to exit onto the slip road doing no more than 20 mph and the next thing I know I'm on my arse with the bike on its side.
I do remember thinking the road surface was quite badly rutted and looking down over the front wheel, that combined with being not quite fully awake and wet roads resulted in a scraped fairing, no mirror, front indicator, brake lever or footrest.
I am really cross with myself more than anything. The bike was in really good condition until this morning and this is the second time I have come off. Must remember to have a cup of
before leaving at 4am. Bugger.
Since both falls I have had have been under 20 mph I think the lesson to be learnt is keep going as quickly as you can! I have noticed it is easier to keep focused the faster you go

!An embarrasing PITA especially when you try to explain it at work. To sumarise; no traffic, hardly moving let alone speeding, round a roundabout, fell off, what a muppet.
I spoke to the garage yesterday morning, luckily they had a van in the area around lunchtime to collect it. With any luck should be back on the road tomorrow, maybe Monday at the latest though my wallet will be somewhat lighter.
Took me a few minutes to loosen up this morning - aches and pains have mysteriously appeared over night!

Ah, rule number one...always lie to people at work....Add 40mph and create a little fluffy animal you avoided thus forcing you off the road!!
