Negative or Positive Ground?

More a question than a discussion but just before I plug my accumate into the cigarette lighter, can I just check that the T350 connects
-ve to ground? Don't have a multimeter to hand (or much electrical knowledge!)

I`d say that ground is always negative.. its only on very very old (1950's and 1960's cars) that have it reversed..
