Mersea Island - nr Colchester
Instead of the East of England showground in Peterborough
I'm sure the organisers have done a stirling job at organising something at short notice but FFS Colchester, its the A*se end of East Angular, its almost abroad, in fact Mersea Island has a tidal causewAy which floods and cuts it off from the mainland so I suppose that does count as abroad.
Criteria for choosing it was
Central - oh yeh very central
Easy to get to - er country roads and a tidal causeway, One road in and one road out, as opposed to other suitable venues at the side of Motorways and handy things like that.

yeah, i stopped going after the first year at the EOE - it lacked the atmosphere of Billing...
Now I heard about this - great for people in the south East - but everywhere else is much further - so I think you can expect it to be quieter..
Oh, and someone told me its only accessable by a causeway that gets closed by the tide - if thats true thats what, 1 8 hour period during the day that you can get in and out... gonna be some interesting traffic management...
3 years of that... death of JAE.

I hope somebody has done a Tide Prediction for the causeway cos its can be closed 2x a day for roughly 4 hours at a time.
If the tide is in the middle of the day then its going to cause mayhem, with thousands of cars descending on the area and also for the general public who attend. lets face it Die hard attendees are probably not going to be put off much but I would have thought the catchment area for the general public will be very limited, much more than Peterborough or other more central areas,
You only have to look at the population within 1 hr drive radius.
I really hope they haven't cocked up on this, it could kill JAE.
