New Ferrari purchased at $1 million Bucks

Daughter borrows car just for a spin and to trys it out, she hits power pole at 200 MPH

The driver only had some bruising (seat belt)
and 2 small cuts

Car loss? $1 Million bucks!
Waiting list for a new one? 2 years.
When can daughter drive Dad 's car again? Next lifetime.

But she is still alive....
Priceless................

Amazing how these do the rounds. It was actually the slightly shady owner of Gizmondo (?) I think who was racing an SLR. He hopped into the passenger seat and tried to pretend the 'driver' had run off, despite his blood and hairs being found at impact points on the wheel itself.

Nothing to do with a daughter at all. We all know women can't drive fast anyway.

Yep, Stefan Eriksson of Gizmondo.

Though, technically, the car belonged to the bank [or a lease company] which, for reasons that never have been made clear, kept on giving Eriksson ever increasing sums of cash.

It was owned by RBS at the time of the crash, it was theirs as he had defaulted on loan repayments and it was one of the things the loan was secured against iirc. I dont think the car was even in the states legally.

I just had a look and he's now free: http://jalopnik.com/347072/hide-the-enzos-stefan-e...

2 years isn't bad all things considered. Financial crimes really do pay.
