Hi all

This week I became the proud owner of a 2006 Monaro (not the VXR), and I have to say I just can't help but want to go out and drive it just for the noise.

However Im just wondering if there is a nice easy point to take a power source from for my GPS, the placement of the lighter type socket is a bit of a pain in the backside with the wire trailing right across the gear stick etc.

So anyone know of a handy takeoff for me behind a panel that I can get to or is it a case of trying to run a extension type arrangement?

Cheers all

I find it easy to run the cable down the left side of the dash, trap it under the trim in the passenger footwell, then feed it down the side of the centre console, in the left side of the front edge of the bin under the armrest and round the front of the CD's to the 12V socket. Also means you can feed any excess cable down the side of the passenger seat.

Hey presto, no dangling cables, with everything trapped neatly out of view (well almost!).

Hope you enjoy your new toy :-)

Oops, by left side of the dash, I meant the centre stack!

Cheers for that, I'll have to have a good look in the light to see how much I have to play with.

typically my power cable is the twisty springy type.

As for enjoying my new toy... cant help but smile every time I press the loud pedal. thumbup

Just a brief thought... The "fishy" suppliers are able to supply extra power sockets, see adverts on here or their website for further details.
