Just got home from having a Cherry Bomb conversion done at Offords... Wow! Its fantastic! Superb noise from it, I was worried it would be too loud at motorway speeds, but its fine. The pops and bangs on the over-run are addictive. I did have fun blasting through the Hatfield Tunnel! biggrin

Anyone that is thinking of doing it, just have it done, its well worth it!

I assume you're talking about the stainless dash?

Mine is ace and everyone comments on how good it looks against the Mulberry interior.

Thanks Andy. Sorry not caught up with you recently and hope you're enjoying having your Chim back on the road.

I think its about £140, but Offords threw it in with the car because I've only recently bought it from them, so double check. They had the car all day.

Is it louder or quieter than the original? Does it feel to have affected performance? Do you know how many Db? I would like to get a quality sound and not have to put track day cans on the back to get under the track limits.

It is certainly louder than the original, It shouldn't affect performance at all, as the mod doesn't touch the cats, hence it is still MOT'able. Sorry I don't know how many Db it is. It sounds louder on start up and under acceleration, but at cruising speeds the difference is hardly noticeable. It does have lovely pops and bangs on the over-run though which is good.
