Though I woudl share my recent experience with new set of Good Year Excels. Have just treated my S3 to four new ones after finding the back end getting a bit slippy on corners and losing grip as accelerating out of roundabouts. Turns out my rear tyres were the original Bridgestones from new! (1990 ish) What a difference, the car sticks so much better and braking into corners does not feel like the back end wants to go its own way. Anyone else using these tyres?

Arran, what size did you go for - are they 205/55x15?
I'd be interested to know what they cost.

A massive difference,just shot out and ran it around the lines, much more confidence and grip. Paid £67 a tyre
