As I understand the front calipers are Mk2 Granada, please correct me if Im wrong. Two questions:-
1. Is there a decent selection of pads available for them?
2. Has anyone else transplanted another Ford caliper on there? Say a Mondeo or Sierra, where there is a good selection of pads?
Cant justify the expense of AP or Wilwoods, but something else from the Ford stable might be a goer.

My understanding is that the caliper is Ford Granada. However, if you are thinking of changing the caliper setup the most obvious choice is the Princess 4-Pot calliper/Granda Vented disk setup.

The callipers are widely avaiable on ebay etc and the vented disks are available @ £13 each from autoparts surplus. You can obtain a 10mm calliper spacer kit from Godspeed brakes @ £85 inc pins and extended bolts. All in the upgrade will cost about £350. You might want to include braided hoses, new brake pipe & fittings for another £50. Do that lot and you will have a really good brake set up. Take it to a garage and they will fleece you. It's well within the capability of a decent spannerhead. I'm in the final phase of completing the upgrade myself - just waiting on the spacer kit to arrive.

Garage?? Nah, that'd be no fun! Im not adverse to a bit of work, beside, this wedge started off as a small refurb and has turned into a full body off restoration!
Did a similar conversion on my Datsun 260Z a few years ago using Range Rover calipers and a pug 505 GTi disc with a 10mm spacer. That stopped very well.
Dont like the Pricess calipers, and for £350 it'd be better to get some Wilwoods!
What is the range of pads like for a standard Granda set up?

Used EBC greenstuff, on my old calipers before I upgraded to MSW 4pots, pads worked well enough and resisted fade fairly well but seemed to lack a bit of 'feel'
