Changed the cerb into my partners name (personal reasons) just got it insured again after it being off the road for a while for a 12000 mile service, new cam, master cylinder, wiper motor (oh my god I have wipers that work!!) Read on here that my cerb is eligible for classic insurance. Last year my insurance for the cerb was £850 I`m 35 (34 at the time) full no-claims of 9yrs. This year my partner is 25, she`s been driving for 2 yrs, 1 yr no-claims,me as a name driver, we both have other vehicles for daily driving, hers yaris, mine van. The price for this years insurance fully comp.....£175!!! Hagarty`s insurance.Bargain!! let`s just hope they`re as good if I/we need to claim.

This sounds dodgy to me. There are a few threads on Hagerty at moment. I cant see how any insurance company can get the cover on these cars down so much. What does this cover at this price?

That's remarkable, my 4.2 was about 320 and my 4,5 360. No NCB as that's on other cars, but I'm double your age!

It basicly covers us to drive the car, as a second car for 3500 miles per year. Ok it has a £550 excess but that`s the same as last year. They offered us approx £319 with £50 excess. You can increase the mileage as you go for next to nothing. Now as I said, I haven`t claimed yet, so I don`t know about that side, but at least I`m driving legally (most of the time :-) )

Yeah were good for too last year. Will be dropping my mileage as I only maaged 2000 last year. laugh.

They're only good if it's a second car, garaged, limited mileage and your not bothered about Track day cover. However it suits me for the price I pay and they're Euro breakdown cover is fantastic for £50!!

I have my insurance through hagerty which I got for about £280 plus £50 for European breakdown. They are underwritten by Allianz the same as Mannings so shouldn't be a problem, should you need to claim...
