HI Guys & Gals. Not sure if many of you know me on this forum, as we used to own a Midas Gold T350C, We sold it to fund a life long ambition to live on a narrow boat for a year.Well things on the boating front are not moving as fast as we wanted them to, and i was getting serious withdrawal symptoms.
So We both decided to buy a TVR again, and yesterday we put a deposit on a near mint 5ltr Chimaera. When we drove the car all the V8 noise memories came flooding back as we had a 4ltr Chim 4 years ago.I had forgotten what torque was after the speed six engine in the T350.(not knocking the S6 by the way).
So I will no doubt be asking lots of questions soon.

We really wanted a 5 ltr Griff in white would you believe, but we only know of flip flops griff and thats not for sale.We have driven up to norfolk, down to portsmouth,Southend,Braintree,Dunmow, stansted, and Kent. All but one of those griffs were piles of poo, with the exception of the kent one which was almost a stunner, but required a little front end paint,so we decided that it was not going to be a griff.
Yesterday it was off 'upt norf' to look at several Chim's, we fell in love with it straight away, and we pick her up in a fortnight. Not sleeping very well now, as i can't wait to get it back home.
In a weird kind of way, I feel just like i did when we picked up the yellow chim from the same place nearly six yaers ago........54 years old going on 20 eh!!!
Who cares Del.

Sounds like you either need the V8 in the narrow boat or live on a power boat then!!biglaugh

Why was the lovely Griff up for sale, i would have had that mate, Its been a long ambition of mine to own a White(ish) griff, but i have only seen your one, is it your one in the Clarkson video and on the TVR post cards?

Its not for sale yet but its testing our patience. The one in the vids was Jason Cooks if he still has it. I think ours was the 2nd in that colour, although some dispute whether Jasons is flip flop and it is a very different colour as we compared the 2 at Back Home 2006.

I understand that the fine chaps at Racing Green will shortly have a gorgeous Cherry Pearlescent 1997-R Chimaera 500 with around 32k miles on the clock up for sale.

Previous owner is quite a nice chap, I believe. wink
