Hi, i have just read in the sprint magazine that castle tvr (main dealer) has slashed its prices by about half of what it used to be on speed six and AJP cars, i have not used them myself but a lot of peps from mid essex TVRCC use them, this can only be good news for tvr owners and lets hope other main dealers take notice........I know some people will say there is no such thing as a main dealer, but the stamp in the book goes a long way when reselling, if you get my drift.

Certainly good news. But you know I think TVR (The Company) caused the problem , from what I heard nationally all TVR dealers were told they had to charge (I think) £82 / hour. That was obviously a ridiculous thing to do nationally since overhead rates would differ widely across the country. With the service we are now getting around Blackpool, we (as owners) are certainly better off without TVR (The Company).

Not sure any stamp is worth any money ! I reckon i have saved 10k over 10 years.(been stung for the same though, but that was my fault) Funny you can never have "just a service", always something else needs doing.

And they can cut them by half again but I'll still be driving from Chelmsford to Blackpool to get my Tuscan serviced by Heath and Paul at X-Works. Simply no comparison in quality of workmanship.

I have just had my 12k service at Castle and was very happy with the price -service was half the old cost. I had the chassis wax oiled and wheel arches treated and there was only a small charge for a problem with washer pipes . Hope i am not tempting fate but the were no other issues !!!! So highly recommed them

Silly question but as TVR is no more how can there be such a thing as a main dealer? Surely it no longer matters if one of the old skool dealers service it or Kevin Webster?
But good news thats its cheaper all the same

I'm sure it will just be a short term offer.

As the 'former' main dealers are no longer selling new cars that reduces their profits and so the servicing section must make money ..

If they don't make money - they wont be around to help you the next time..

Stupidly low prices are just to get people in when times are slack.. a reasonable price for a good job is what's needed smile
