Throttle pots and temperature sensors (again)
Discussion
So I tried starting up the 350i for pre-mot inspection last week and i would hardly run.
First problem was the throttle pot - the wiper had gone open-circuit. Turns out that the track had corroded inside breaking the solder joint from the track. Five minutes with the soldering iron had it all working fine again.
However this is a new failure mode to look out to.
The next problem was the temp sensor - the sensor is OK but the Amphenol connector on the loom has perished. So I robbed the one off the cold start injector and it's all hunky dory. Runs nice and sweet.
I seem to remember a website selling these connectors - can anyone remember it?
