I'd very grateful if anyone could tell me how much it will cost to get the Griff resprayed, no damage just resprayed Rosso Pearlescent Red.

If you are talking about a colour change expect a Big Bill, as far more work goes into it. I have been quoted anything upto £4500, then add some for pearlescant colour.
The best quote i have had so far is £1750 for a colour change with a metallic paint, this was from the company exhibiting at the MPH show at the NEC (the one with the LOUD rice burner on display). Apparently they have the contract for Lambo so know there way around grp. (www.candncustoms.com )

If its just a respray in the same colour it shouldnt be so bad

Are you wanting the car completely stripped and all the inner panels doing also??

Id budget for around £2k smile

The inside A and B posts etc are fine, sadly it was part resprayed when I bought it (very badly IMHO!)and the colour match is crap, as I'm a bit colour blind I hadn't noticed but my my friends kept referring to the pink car yikes hence the reason for the respray, LOLs.

rofl

You could get a decent job done for about 2k then and it should be a damn good job for that!

A friend of mine who does this kind of thing (for a living and on TVR's, not just a backstreet affair) quoted me around the £1500-2k to have the Battlecruiser done and its a damn site bigger than a Griff smile

Guys thank you, I was worried that it would cost a fortune, however it did seem to me that a Griffith has simple flowing lines that may make it easier to spray. I'm also getting the hood renewed as well, after 6 years of ownership I,ve bitten the bullet and getting all the annoying things put right. I promise to put a pic up once its done, but as I,m a bit colour blind, absolutely no comments about PINK...please! LOLs.biglaugh

If it helps, I usedf to have a rosso pearl Griff and had some work done on it. Be very careful when you come to match the colour, as when Rosso came out, it took the factory a few goes before they got it right, there can be slight variations to the colour between different cars, which will eman that the paint code may not be an accurate reflection of that you have.

If you are keeping it the same colour, then get a good bodyshop to do it. You could speak to John at Eweleme garages.

My old Rosso Pearl Chim needed a partial respray following a dozy neighbour incident. The workshop said they couldn't guarantee a match as rosso pearl fades unevely. Gerbil (TVR's paint guru) said the same. I decided to have a full respray in Red Glow Pearl instead, which is close in colour and more resilient. Pic on my profile.

Just looked at my profile, and the picture makes it look like any normal red, so probably best to ask someone else if you're interested in Red Glow! Sorry!

My car is Red Glow pearl. PM me for some pics showing the 'glow' part.

The paint is not cheap - mind you, perhaps Gerbil's company is charging better prices (£250 a litre from TVR a while back).
