i could go on to make jokes about them needing the money etc but we all know the real police see nothing of it.

is there any way we can stop these scammers wasting time whilste pretending to be working for the BiB/firebrigade/desperatly poor children in the "local" area/etc

ive got a premium number and thats what they are calling, so im just keeping them on the phone for as long as possible without confirming anything.

anyone else noticed a mass influx of pretend charity advertising?

Get one a week on average. Some of them open with the lie "Following on from your previous advert/sponsorship with us..."
