The curcuit is quite simple for these..Generally it tends to be the reverse light switch that screws into the gearbox.
First check to see if you have 12v at the lamp itself and a good earth.
If you are able to get it on a ramp unplug the switch and bridge the conector terminals with a split pin or short piece of wire and turn ignition on.If they light up your on a winner-replace the switch.
If not you need to check if you have 12v to the switch if you have and the switch is good then you need to check the continuity of the wire.I have seen quite a few boot loom problems at the hindge where the loom comes from the body to the boot inside the rubber boot.
If there is no 12v then follow wiring back but I have never had trouble with loss of 12v for reverse to the switch
