Cool - thanks boggy

Just watched it on the train just now.

Doesnt help me to talk myself into selling the car watching that. The engineer in me loves it. The driver in me loves it. The small child in me loves it.

Great vid. Lotus need to do more of these "viral videos".

Have you seen "The Inside Story"? That is like 2.5 hrs long and very detailed. I hope they are filming one like that for the Eagle and Esprit!

No , he said Alooooooominum disc brakes.

They were on the early Mk1's not the Mk2

And why the British accent with American pronunciation ? - Aaahhh that makes my p1$$ boil.
It's Aluminium, not Aloooooooominum.

Apart from that, not a bad video. Will certainly have to take the mickey out of some of the guys on there. I'm sure they have forgotten that they were being filmed. biggrin

This was made for an American audience surely - 'aloominum', quoting the weight in pounds rather than kilos, registration plate. Still interesting though. It must be a couple of years old, as they show the 2-11 prototype

I remember on the factory tour we were having the talk that all cars were hand finished by some of the most skilled engineers in the trade, delicately set up by the best.

We were watching a group of lotuses best crowded around a corner of a chassis, scratching heads. The biggest one (fekkin HUGE) picked up an 18lb sledge hammer and set about "aligning" the chassis.

some one checked the progress, then...

B A N G B A N G B A N G
B A N G B A N G B A N G
B A N G B A N G B A N G

Job done.

Had us giggling the rest of the tour!

That 2nd video is fantastic. I love how there's a proper, "It's my baby, what have you done" thing going on after it'd been in the wind tunnel.
