Not being from your area I cannot comment too much but I use tyre warehouse in Brackley if you ever get around this area. Sorry I cannot be of further help.

Did you get the probs with the car resolved? I have ordered an A3 from a Kent dealer so will be collecting in March

Try Hi-Q, I managed to get Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics 225/40WR18 for £113 each.

Pretty damn good tyres as well

Car only returned on Monday - problem turned out to be the brake caliper houses moving too much and caused the clicking noise!! Probably about the cheapest part they replaced too ...... car now very very quiet underneath, touch wood - have only done 50 miles in her so far, but it is soooooo good to have her back.

Too scared to moan yet - the car sounds like I have a window left open from the amount of cabin wind noise, currently combatting with the bose stereo turned up full volume and the front headlights are constantly full of condensation, possibly from being left out whereas I garage all the time? May be brave enough to mention next week ... kind of you to ask!

Try etyres.co.uk
This link is for 225/40/18's

The prices are good and they come to you - maybe a better chance to keep an eye on how they treat your alloys too. Have not used them yet, but I intend to.

What's the dealer? I'll make sure I don't buy from him. VW don't treat you like that - I had my leaky headlight replaced by the non-original VW dealer without question just 3 weeks before the 3 year warranty ran out. BTW, this is not related to your tyre query!!

Bit bothered about VAG headlights now - my other one seems to be going the same way - just 3 weeks AFTER the warranty has run out.

Chap at work bought an 18mth old S4 Convertible from an audi dealer but recently took it back as some warning lights came on dashboard for brakes - they told him to buy some brake fluid and top it up! He told em were to go. Then his alloys began blistering/flaking - took it in they said yes no problem as long as they are original finish - after taking wheels off he was advised they had already been re-furbished, so he went back to original dealer and discovered they had them refurbed between test-drive and sale completion thus voiding manufacturers warranty! Anyhow they are now arranging refurb part II....I told him to press the selling dealer for "new wheels"

Seems Audi aftersales is seriously CRAP!

Have sent in a letter of complaint to the Head of Business and Area Director for Kent. Apparently I have heard that they ARE allowed to refuse to book a car for warranty work, espec as they see it as a problem car ... were able to take my money fast enough for it's service tho' and I was allowed to take in some beers for the boys who worked on my car over the Xmas period!!! Will let you know the response .......

Also not sure what happens if I sell the car, and the next person lives within radius of the dealership, would they also find they can't go there for anything with it???

BTW, without naming them directly (not sure if I'm allowed too on here) I do live very near J6 on the M20!! Buyer beware, aftersales is non-existent!!!!

As long as you keep to proven facts, no reason you can't name them I would suggest (not sure what the forum rules are, I was thinking from a moral/legal point)

Try COSTCO - definately cheapest I have found, and often have offers. Only have Michelins so am not sure that the sizes you'll want are there but worth asking.

I would second Costco - I got PS2s for my 147 GTA from there.

You need to be a member, and also call in advance to make sure they have the tyres for you.
