So what happens if you get caught doing 120ish on a nice empty motorway, and then convicted of dangerous driving and banned for a year (as happened to a friend of mine). Are you covered or not?

These policies were around in the late 1980's but I thought they were banned.... obviously not!

A friend of mine had such a policy. When he was banned his wife 'chauffered' him around every day and 6 months later he got a clean license back. To say he made a mint is an understatement.
