SAP sales/consultant
Discussion
hi folks just wondering how i can enter the SAP world without any industry experience. Im currently about to embark on a course to learn the CRM module but will need some industry exposure, most positions are asking for one life cycle of experience at least. A drawback maybe that im not a graduate otherwise i could enter a graduate training programme within a company.. I've been involved in selling telecommunication products b2b for most of my career so my natural role would be in selling SAP. How do i get my break...Any pointers would be appreciated...

yep already tried them i need to spend around 10k+ on courses at least but even then theres still no guarantee the companies want actual practical experience even if you haven't got the qualifications that is worth more to them....catch 22 situation??
...you need the experience. This S/W takes quite some time to learn and most of the sales peoples have a very high level of product knowledge having used it in anger for a number of years. Best bets? descide which part of the product you want to learn in detail and go from there. If you do go down the training route go to SAP UK training at Clockhouse place in London - some of the best training you will get by people who really know their stuff inside out.Working for SAP is a great experience - one of the best employers with really great opportunities, but be under no illusion, you'll work very hard indeed.
