Hello Everyone

As the title says, this is my first post

I'm a relatively new PHer, and a new Porsche owner (well, new to me)

3 children, mortgage and two sensible commuter cars means my Porsche is a modest weekend toy, but I always wanted a 944 and I'm actually really chuffed with it.

These forum threads have been a mine of information, there's also some real characters out there (I guess you know who you are!)

I'm loking forward to coming along to some events and meeting some of you

Cheers

Welcome to the forum and Porsche ownership! (Even if yours isn't a proper one!)
Just kidding!!
You're right - loads of great characters with a mine of useless information. I haven't met any of them myself yet, but hope to soon at the next PH meet.

Happy driving.

Good to see you got a proper porker :-)

Now of these air cooled sheds that you see floating around...... Only Joking....

The 944 is an excellent car, And from the looks of the price you got yourself a bargain.

There are plenty of 944 owners here myself included so welcome to PH from us all.

Pat you cheeky fcuker.....mine isn't air cooled either, although it does have a slight oil leak. Normal apparently.

Greetings, Herr Steppenwulf.

The 944 is a great car and hugely underrated by the great unwashed (a category into which far too many of our fellow subjects unfortunately find themselves mindlessly subscribed).

Any plans to bore out the engine and instruct one of Germany's more ridiculously attired tuning specialists to extract a fair degree of drive shaft-bending power?

Let the dribbling commence...

Only joking Greg :-) The Boxy S qualifies under the proper porker banner - JUST! Although qualification is enhanced by it having and oil leak - dont they all?

Thanks Will

Derestrictor, watch this space:

I have read Dontlift's profile and I like your approach to 944 improvements. I might have to call on you for some tips in the future

BTW, any tips on Hampshire based sources for spares and recommendations for servicing gratefully received

Pat, that place you ordered the towing eye from was absolutely bang on. Bit late (!), my only disappointment was I didn't get about 8 turn up.

Welcome from another Porker newbie (if a little more seasoned on the PH gassing front). Hope you're enjoying your new motor.
