Trip to Tignes

A little bit last minute, but...

Can anyone suggest a good route from Calais to Tignes. Off Snowboarding for a week and may as well have a hoon on the way !

I just did this last week.

We did:

Calais > Reims > Troyes > Dijon > Macon.

At this point you can either follow the Autoroute to Lyon > Chambéry > Albertville > Bourg St Maurice > Tignes.

Or, at Macon you can turn off the Autoroute and take a shortcut via N roads:

Bourg En Bresse > Bellegarde-sur-Valserine > Annecy > Albertville > Bourg

Which is a bit more picutresque, takes you past a few lakes and if there's autoroute congestion near Lyon, is quicker.
