I am spending serious money on my 1998 450 Chim, the next project is upgrading the suspension, anyone out there got any sugestions? what is the best way to go?

I have about £1,000.00 to spend on this peice of work.

It's only for road use!

Cheers,

Mike.

Gaz golds - about £750 fitted or £500 if you want to fit yourself.

Before plumpin for a set from the very good selection of shiny new suspension kits, I would (and have just done myself) check all ball joints, track rod ends, drop links and bushes (with en eye on the condition of the wishbones). Once the health of those is up to scratch you would get the most out of the better new suspension, and only have to have the car fully aligned once.

After I did all that I still missed a bit, I needed a new steering joint which diddn't feel loose until all the new parts were fitted, it all made an amazing difference.
