Fitting CCC...stopping them falling off??

Just about to fit my CCC...does anyone have any simple recommendations to prevent them falling off?

Will obviously check them occasionally but would be good to feel confident they are secure!

Two reasons why they fall off. First is the shitty mig weld holding the spigot to the corner silencer fails and the can and the spigot falls off together. Only thing to stop this is to have a good chunky TIG weld put over and around the existing one and secure the can to the car using a bit of stainless wire. The second reason is that the clamps come loose and the can falls off the spigot. This is easily sorted by securing the can to the spigot with a 4mm stainless self tapping screw.

Where would you put the stainless wire - are we talking serious modifications or just finding a point under the car to support the exhaust?

I did see the movement in the corner silencer when removing old cans...an I do have a dab hand metalsmith at work.....

I'm going to take them back off to use some exhaust sealent (blowing slightly on join) so will fit the self tappers then.

Use a 1.6mm stainless TIG filler wire secured at one end to the silencer spigot with a 21/4" jubilee clip next to the clamp. Use the same arrangement at the other end of the wire but secure it to the main exhaust pipe at the inlet to the corner silencer. In doing this the can should not be able to come off the spigot but if it did it would still be attached to the car by the wire.
