Well, probably not cheap, but.....

Anyone else had problems with the glovebox in the VXR? Mine's never been particularly solid, but this morning my hand slipped off whilst closing it and it plummetted down only to land on the floor! Further investigation reveals a couple of the aforementioned Cheap & Nasty plastic clips/hinges which are all that holds the glovebox on.

Wasn't as if there was anything heavy in it either - few CDs, a Dart Tag and a pair of sunnies.

Just about to call Greens and place an order - which is where the "probably not cheap" bit comes into play.

This made me laugh. When I picked up my VXR the glovebox was a bit iffy, and I had a small plastic bag in the boot with 2 plastic clips. Now I know exactly what they are for!!!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask, any ideas since day 1 my glovebox sags a little near the passenger door - you can manually push it up to narrow the gap but moves straight back down. Any ideas ?? Sounds like I will have to remove it and investigate (I don't sit in the passenger seat so does not bother me much).

Cheers
Steven

Suspect you have the same problem as me, i.e. that the rubber clips/stoppers at each edge are actually split and don't support it properly. I didn't think it was a problem until the glove box landed in the passenger footwell!

Hopefully resolved tomorrow.....
