Any big mostly un-silenced V-twin. The 916-998 all sounded wondefull with open pipes, but the clutch rattle really sounds horrible when they go past, so the TL1000 or the RSV for me.

Although my speed triple makes a wonderfull howl too...

i'm a sucker for the sound (especialy idle) of the old yamaha LC twins, also the loose raspy manic howl of an aircooled kawasaki 4 at the top end of the rev range is good...

The RC30 was good-sounding even as std. I paid a fortune for one back in, jeez, 1989 i think!

Best exhaust note I ever owned was my TL1000S with Art oval race cans; the classic "sets off car alarms in driveways" noise.

Best engine noise at tickover was a Triumph Daytona Super III.

Best overall I've ever heard would be either the first of the Kawasaki MotoGP bikes (which always sounded as though the engine was in the process of self-destructing it was so noisy) or the old Norton rotary racers which just sounded like nothing else ever before or since.

RC30 and RC45 as well as the NC30 and NC35 with a full system on them, im sure the Desmodici RR will fall into the wonderful sounding V4 catogry too.

Those rotary Norton sounded the t*ts, I remember Ron Haslam on one at the 91 British GP (think it was 91) sounded amazing!
